Job Description
Required Education

• High School Diploma or GED.



Required License/Certification

• Active Washington (WA) State Pharmacy Technician License in good standing.



Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience

• Experience in a high-volume call center environment.

• Customer service experience (preferably in healthcare, social services, or similar field).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to follow processes and escalate clinical inquiries appropriately.

• Experience in pharmacy operations or prior authorization processes.

• Exposure to healthcare or pharmacy-related environments.



Pharmacy Technician Overview

• Supports pharmacy operations by handling inbound calls, assisting with prior authorization processes, and contributing to production workflows.

• Provides professional customer service to members, providers, and internal stakeholders in a high-volume call center environment.

• Ensures accurate documentation and inventory tracking in compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Serves as a liaison by routing clinical questions to pharmacists while managing non-clinical inquiries.

• Primarily focused on production tasks with opportunities to cross-train in patient outreach, intake, shipping, and prior authorization functions.

• Requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.



Job Duties

• Handle high-volume inbound calls from members, providers, and stakeholders.

• Provide assistance through the prior authorization process using defined criteria.

• Transfer clinical or judgment-based inquiries to pharmacists.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inventory and case activities.

• Support production-related pharmacy operations.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and healthcare regulations.

• Deliver excellent customer service in all interactions.

• Assist with additional pharmacy functions such as outreach, intake, and shipping as needed.



Specific Details to Call Attention To

• Active WA Pharmacy Technician License is mandatory

• High-volume call center experience is required

• Role combines call center + production pharmacy work

• Opportunity to learn multiple pharmacy functions (outreach, intake, shipping, prior auth)

• Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (may vary within 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM window)

• 40 hours/week, 8.5-hour shift with 30-minute lunch
