Required Education:
• High School diploma or GED

• Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy License or Trainee status

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Adept at reading and interpreting prescription terminology and medications
• Rapid keyboarding skills while maintaining 100% accuracy
• Able to meet specified production and quality standards
• Able to recognize and identify commonly used generic drugs and their routes of administration
• General knowledge of commonly used generic drugs
• Able to understand and interpret Latin symbols commonly used on prescriptions
• Able to write routine correspondence
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; includes calculating dosages and days-supply for prescriptions
• Must be flexible and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic computer knowledge

Pharmacy Technician Overview:
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and experienced Pharmacy Technician who can accurately process prescriptions and assist with pharmacy functions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The Pharmacy Technician will ensure completeness and accuracy in prescription processing, communicate effectively with patients and providers, and support the pharmacy team in achieving production and quality standards. Strong computer skills, knowledge of medications, and the ability to calculate dosages accurately are essential for success in this position.

Job Duties:
• Resolve and enter incomplete prescriptions after clarification is obtained
• Complete patient letters as appropriate
• Assist with and perform other pharmacy functions and duties as required

Specific Details to Call Attention To:

• Must know how to type and have basic computer knowledge

Schedule:
o Week 1: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST
o Weeks 2–8: Monday–Thursday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM CST, Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST
o Weeks 9–12: Monday–Friday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM CST (may include work from home)
