Required Education:
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
Required License/Certification:
• Active Pharmacy Technician license with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Minimum six months of work experience as a pharmacy technician
• Ability to repeatedly lift 5–10 lbs for the duration of the shift
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30–50 lbs during a shift
• Ability to sit, stand, pull, push, reach, stretch, and walk for multiple hours per day
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• High levels of reliability, professionalism, customer focus, problem-solving, and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Three months of work experience in a pick, pack, or ship environment
• Three months of work experience using computer systems
Pharmacy Technician Overview:
• As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects of filling and packing mail order prescriptions
• This role is essential to ensuring medications are filled accurately and safely to positively impact patient outcomes
• The position involves manually filling, packing, and sorting prescription orders using an intelligent order routing conveyance system, as well as supporting inventory management and restocking activities
• As part of the Back-End Pharmacy Technician team, you will play a key role in supporting patients on their path to better health. Success in this role requires attention to detail, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, physically active dispensing environment
Job Duties:
• Fill, pack, and sort mail order prescriptions accurately
• Manually process prescription orders using an intelligent order routing conveyance system
• Ensure medications are filled correctly to support patient safety and quality standards
• Support inventory management, including supply management and restocking
• Work collaboratively as part of the Back-End Pharmacy Technician team
• Maintain accuracy, reliability, and professionalism in a high-volume environment
