Requirements:
• Possess and Maintain a Clear and Active MA Pharmacy Technician License issued by MA Board of Pharmacy
• Ability to work at a moderate and consistent pace.
• Strong English reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Active and clear Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License issued by the MA Board of Pharmacy.
• Ability to maintain licensure in good standing.
Preferred Requirements:
• Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience in prescription fulfillment and medication packaging.
Job Duties:
• Accurately fill daily prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Pick, label, scan, and prepare medications for final pharmacist verification.
• Package materials and products manually.
• Pull medications from shelving and prepack storage areas.
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy.
• Notify the pharmacist of any scanning or product discrepancies.
• Assist with processing returned medications in accordance with procedures.
• Support prepacking of frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods.
• Maintain organized, clean, and well-stocked workstations.
• Replenish supplies as needed.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Comply with departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations by accurately preparing, labeling, and packaging prescription medications for final verification by a licensed pharmacist. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend intermittently throughout the workday.
• Capacity to stand or sit for 7–10 hours per shift.
• Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment and handle medications.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Visual acuity for reading fine print and color differentiation.
• Ability to adjust visual focus for close work.
