Job Description
Required Education:

• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED



Required License/Certification:

• Active and unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Florida



Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

• Minimum six months of work experience as a pharmacy technician

• Ability to utilize computer applications to enter data accurately and meet production standards

• Knowledge of drug names, basic pharmacology, and pharmacy medical terminology

• Understanding of basic pharmacy law

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to collaborate with team members to fill and ship orders accurately and on time

• Ability to recognize limitations in decision-making and escalate issues appropriately

• Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per shift

• Ability to repeatedly lift 5–10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 30–50 lbs

• Ability to reach and grasp objects at various levels

• Comfortable working around moving machinery and moderate noise levels

• Willingness to wear required protective equipment



Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

• Three months of experience in a pick, pack, or ship environment

• Three months of computer-based work experience



Pharmacy Technician – Specialty Fulfillment Overview:

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this role supports specialty pharmacy operations within a climate-controlled distribution center

• The Pharmacy Technician plays a dual-purpose role, splitting time between medication fulfillment and packaging responsibilities to support timely and accurate shipment to patients

• This position is responsible for selecting, counting, packaging, labeling, and preparing medications and ancillary supplies in accordance with pharmacy laws, specialty guidelines, and operational procedures

• Accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards are critical to success in this role.

• The technician also assists with inventory control, workstation preparation, and equipment cleaning while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance standards

• This role requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks, follow standardized workflows, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.



Job Duties:

• Select, pick, package, and label medications and ancillary supplies per prescription orders under pharmacist supervision

• Accurately count medications using manual and automated counting devices

• Follow proper hand sanitation and hazardous medication handling procedures

• Perform Operations Assistant responsibilities as needed

• Prepare and restock filling stations with medications and supplies

• Clean pill counting devices, equipment, and general work areas

• Assist with inventory control and record-keeping functions

• Support accurate and timely order fulfillment in compliance with pharmacy laws and internal guidelines

• Protective clothing or equipment may be required based on operational needs



Specific Details to Call Attention To:

• Candidates must hold an active, unencumbered Florida Pharmacy Technician license

• Working environment is a climate-controlled distribution center

• This is a dual-purpose role with time split between filling and packing orders

• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM

• Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, lifting, and working near conveyor machinery
