Job Description
Required Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Required License/Certification:
• An active California State Pharmacy Technician licensure

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• At least 6 months of experience as a pharmacy technician
• Basic computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet use
• Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Specialty pharmacy experience

Licensed Pharmacy Technician Overview:
• The Pharmacy Technician role supports a growing specialty pharmacy environment where patients receive complex therapies requiring precision, communication, and exceptional service.
• This position plays a key role in ensuring prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and pharmacy protocols.
• The technician will engage frequently with patients, prescribers, and internal teams through phone, email, and fax communication to support medication fulfillment and patient care needs.
• Responsibilities include processing orders and refills under pharmacist supervision, preparing medications for shipment, managing copays and financial assistance research, maintaining inventory and proper medication storage, and completing required documentation such as labels, logs, and reports.
• The role also includes participation in an on-call rotation based on business needs.

Job Duties:
• Communicate with patients, prescribers, and colleagues via phone, email, and fax
• Fulfill prescriptions and package medications for shipment
• Process copays and research financial assistance options
• Complete order entry and refills under pharmacist supervision
• Perform inventory management and ensure appropriate medication storage
• Complete documentation including labels, log sheets, and reports
• Participate in on-call rotation based on staffing and business needs
