Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience
• 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in retail/hospital/specialty setting
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding warehouse/pharmacy environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work around conveyor belts and moving machinery
• Ability to follow pharmacy guidelines, safety procedures, and hazardous medication handling practices
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills
• Ability to repeatedly lift 5–10 lbs. throughout shift
• Ability to occasionally lift 30–50 lbs. during shift
Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience
• 1-year professional work experience preferred in a warehouse, purchasing and/or inventory environment.
Pharmacy Tech – Materials Coordinator Overview
• The Pharmacy Tech – Materials Coordinator is responsible for the tasks associated with the management of inventory and SOX documentation at the assigned facility
• Responsible for purchasing and receiving of inventory, tracking and reconciliation of inventory balances, and selection of product and supplies under the direction of the supervisor
• Managing return goods according to standard operating procedures while also monitoring product trends and shortages to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained
• Ensuring pharmacy pick stations are properly stocked with medication and supplies.
• Assisting in maintaining dispensing and back stock refrigerators in a well-organized manner
• Performing duties of an Operations Assistant (packing, shipping, cleaning) 10-20% of the workday/as needed
Job Duties
• Manage inventory and maintain SOX documentation at the assigned facility
• Purchase, receive, and track inventory to ensure accurate inventory balances
• Reconcile inventory records and monitor stock levels
• Select and order products and supplies under the direction of the supervisor
• Manage returned goods in accordance with established standard operating procedures
• Monitor product usage trends and shortages to maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Ensure pharmacy pick stations are adequately stocked with medications and supplies
• Place approved orders for shipping and packaging supplies
• Maintain dispensing and back-stock refrigerators in an organized manner
• Provide Operations Assistants with sufficient packing supplies and ensure pack stations remain properly stocked
• Assist with inventory receiving, posting, put-away activities, and cycle count processes
• Monitor inventory for short-dated or expired products and remove them from active stock as required
• Support inventory control processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency
Specific Details to Call Attention To
• An active California Pharmacy Technician License is mandatory
• This is a highly physically demanding role
• Able to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs.
• Able to occasionally lift up to 30-50 lbs.
• Candidates must be comfortable standing/walking for 8–10-hour shifts
