Job Description
Required Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or higher pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.



Preferred Education

- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).



Required Certifications/Licenses

- Active, unrestricted Ohio Pharmacist License.



Required Experience

• Experience dispensing and verifying prescription medications in a licensed pharmacy environment.

• Experience reviewing prescription orders, refill labels, medication packaging, and dispensing accuracy.

• Experience supporting pharmacy workflow, medication safety, and regulatory compliance.



Preferred Experience

• High-volume dispensing, long-term care, mail-order, central-fill, or pharmacy fulfillment operations.

• Supervising pharmacy technicians or coordinating pharmacy production workflows.

• Sterile IV preparation or supervision.

• Controlled-substance inventory management, including Schedule II perpetual inventory.

• Monitoring pharmacy productivity, workflow dashboards, and dispensing deadlines.

Job Duties

• Execute daily dispensing pharmacy operations while meeting production deadlines.

• Review and verify new and refill prescription orders.

• Ensure accurate medication packaging, labeling, and dispensing.

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and production personnel.

• Monitor pharmacy workflow and clear daily dashboard queues.

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, DEA, and HIPAA requirements.

• Prepare or supervise sterile IV medications and solutions.

• Support controlled-substance ordering, handling, documentation, and inventory.

• Maintain Schedule II perpetual inventory records.

• Identify and resolve workflow, dispensing, and medication safety issues.

• Support evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as scheduled.
