Job Description
***Only qualified Packaging Operator candidates located near the Hunt Valley Maryland area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***



Required Education

* High School diploma or relevant experience preferred



Required Experience

* Experience working in a regulated environment preferred

* Experience working in a repetitive manufacturing or packaging environment preferred

* Experience maintaining accurate manual and electronic records and logs preferred



Tech Skills

* Ability to read and write in English and analyze and evaluate charts

* Ability to follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic

* Basic proficiency with personal computers and Windows environment

* Familiarity with computers and general business software

* Ability to operate packaging and production equipment

* Ability to use weighing scales hand filling equipment integrated fill lines bagging equipment and shrink wrap equipment



Soft Skills

* Strong attention to detail

* Good documentation practices

* Effective communication skills

* Ability to manage frequent assignment changes

* Ability to use independent judgment for planning decision making troubleshooting and problem solving

* Ability to work effectively in a team environment

* Ability to work a flexible schedule including static or rotating shifts and overtime



Responsibilities

* Label inspect and package final container products using manual and automated packaging systems

* Operate equipment used to package materials or products into containers

* Perform packaging tasks including labeling products operating small production equipment counting and sorting items and forming or breaking down boxes

* Package materials according to standard manufacturing procedures and standard operating procedures

* Set up clean and document packaging equipment and processes

* Fill assemble label and inspect products under direct supervision

* Weigh materials according to established procedures and weight tolerances

* Maintain accurate and complete documentation of packaging operations

* Communicate product or process status between shifts through verbal and written status reports

* Set up operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales hand filling equipment integrated fill lines bagging equipment and shrink wrap equipment

* Follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices

* Follow client housekeeping policies and procedures

* Follow client safety policies and procedures

* Work overtime as required to meet client business requirements

* Perform other duties as required



Physical Demands

* Stand for long periods of time

* Safety shoes required

* Perform repetitive work for extended periods

* Perform manual packaging and production activities
