Job Description
Required Education:
• High school diploma or GED required.
Requirements:
• Prior experience in food manufacturing or similar batch processing environments is desirable.
• Familiarity with GMP and computer-controlled systems is a plus.
• Strong written, verbal, and computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment.
• Capable of multitasking in a dynamic setting while maintaining product quality and GMP standards.
Overview (Processing Operator)
The Processing Operator is responsible for manufacturing liquid pediatric and medical nutritional products. This includes physical handling of raw ingredients, operating computer-controlled systems, and maintaining documentation per Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Ingredient Handling & Preparation:
• Weigh, document, and stage batch ingredients using a computer-controlled weigh system.
• Receive and transport bulk raw ingredients and CIP chemicals.
• Prepare, perform, and document product line operations (e.g., Standardization/Final Water using ingredients, flavors, oils, etc.).
Process Operation & Monitoring:
• Operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled blending processes.
• Operate and monitor the computer-controlled clean-in-place (CIP) system for equipment such as tanks and heat treatment systems.
• Operate, monitor, and document heat treatment and bulk slurry preparation processes.
Cleaning, Maintenance & Compliance:
• Perform routine cleaning of equipment and the general area to maintain GMP compliance.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure adherence to batch work orders and job procedures with accurate recordkeeping.
Other Duties:
• Perform and support additional work-related tasks as assigned.
