Job Description
Performs routine production functions including filling, utility operations, packing, packaging, assembling, labeling and inspecting under general supervision. Maintains accurate records and logs in accordance with FDA (Food and Drug Administration), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO9000 (International Organization for Standardization). Effectively works in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives. Makes effective decisions relative to position requirements. Must follow instructions and work within routine, standard practices, making decisions as required. Works under direct supervision, following standard operating procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Work as one of a team for maximum effectiveness and optimal task methods, which includes product inspection, operating equipment, raw material and finished goods movements and clean room area and equipment cleaning / sanitizing
· Perform visual inspections
· Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment
· Perform changeovers, line clearance and cleaning
· Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment
· Facilitate continuous operation of the equipment through breaks
· Perform rework
· Cross train where needed within the department to support the business
· Maintain all quality and GMP standards
· Perform needed SAP data entries
· May require the use of 10x microscope, calipers, and/or other miscellaneous gauges
· Participate on blitz teams as assigned
· Achieving established production goals
· Ensuring the quality of all product produced
· Performing quality checks as designated
· Ability to function as part of a team
· Processing SAP and MES transactions for department
· Assisting in the BDA process to identify root causes
· Maintain compliance with all required document training
· Operate lines in a safe and efficient manner
· Drive department results by reducing downtime and completing tasks in an efficient manner
· Maximize efficient time usage in the department
· Other duties as required to support the needs of the business
Education:
· High School diploma/GED preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Work effectively on own, or in a team atmosphere – Proficient
· Ability to maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area – Proficient
