Job Description
Required Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
• Capable of reading assembly instructions and wiring diagrams
• Utilise handheld tools such as a hand-held screwdriver and operate machinery
• High attention to detail
• Experience in the basics of point-to-point soldering
• Computer literate
• Ability to work alone and with others

Required Skills:
• Consistently follows lean manufacturing concepts, including 5S
• Ability to flex to additional roles/responsibilities as needed
• Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated

Desirable Skills:
• Intermediate skills in Access, Excel and Word
• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience
• Work experience with solder pots or wave solder equipment

Position Overview:
Performs product assembly using both discrete and sub-assembly level components by reading and applying documented assembly work instructions. Actions include proper selection, handling and installation of components using both tools/machinery and methods identified in the assembly instructions.

Job Duties:
• Reads and comprehends instructions and follows established policy and procedures
• Assembles components and fastens parts and subassemblies accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications
• Assembles board-level components using solder pot and point-to-point soldering techniques
• Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy
• Reports any non-conformance or production barriers to production management with a recommended solution
• Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures, including wearing applicable PPE, and performs ergonomic stretches

Physical Demands Necessary to Perform Essential Function
• Visual inspection of work required.
• Can lift up to 26 pounds without lift assistance.
• Continuous walking and standing throughout the 8-hour shift
• Manipulate and grip small objects with either or both hands.
• Frequent reaching, bending, carrying, pushing or pulling to assemble parts
• Ability to distinguish the difference between colors
