Job Description
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow detailed written procedures and verbal instructions
- Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts with precision
- Comfortable working in a clean room or highly regulated production environment following strict gowning and dress code protocols

Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in medical device assembly, clean room, or highly regulated manufacturing
- Experience using electronic data collection systems and standard computer software packages
- Experience participating in Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives

Job Summary:
Support production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell at Abbott's Structural Heart (SH) business unit in Westfield, IN. Perform assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related device assemblies under close supervision.

Job Duties:
- Perform assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related medical device assemblies
- Follow specified and standardized procedures; work is closely and continually reviewed
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date job documentation for cell operations
- Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions clearly to manufacturing management, in written and oral form
- Maintain a positive attitude with internal and external customers, including facility tours
- Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate safety devices
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes
- Maintain accurate records to ensure traceability and quality documentation
- Demonstrate basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing
- Support Divisional QMS, EMS, and other regulatory requirement initiatives

Dress Code (Clean Room/Production Area):
Non-shedding, lint-free clothing required; no loose fibers, tassels, sequins, or fraying. Closed-toe shoes with low/flat heel required; no sandals or open-toe/heel footwear. Torsos, upper arms, and legs must be fully covered. No nail polish, artificial nails, jewelry that can't be covered, or makeup. No scented personal products except deodorant.
