Overview
Join a precision medical-device manufacturing team in Westfield, Indiana. As a Medical Device Assembler / Operator I, you will help manufacture high-quality cardiac medical devices, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related assemblies. This is a hands-on production role for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with small components, and able to consistently follow detailed procedures in a highly controlled manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
• Assemble, repair, inspect, and test medical-device components according to established procedures and work instructions.
• Handle small and delicate components requiring strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Complete manufacturing documentation accurately and maintain full product traceability.
• Follow quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements at all times.
• Use electronic data-collection systems and standard computer software to document production activity.
• Identify and communicate production, quality, and process issues to manufacturing leadership.
• Prioritize work based on production requirements, job sequencing, and established procedures.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Support manufacturing goals related to quality, productivity, profitability, and process performance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, professional production environment.
• Support the company's Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Controlled Manufacturing Environment
This position requires compliance with strict gowning, clothing, personal-care, and cleanliness standards because of the controlled production environment.
Employees must wear appropriate non-shedding clothing, closed-toe/closed-heel shoes, socks or stockings, and clothing that can be fully covered by required gowning. Loose fibers, fleece, exposed skin, visible contamination, certain jewelry/piercings, artificial nails, nail polish, makeup, and scented personal products are not permitted in the production area. - **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
