• Experience performing quality reporting, analysis, or audits.

• Experience supporting continuous quality improvement.

• Familiarity with PHI/PII and healthcare data privacy requirements.



Job Duties

• Review close matches within the iMDM Inspector work queue and resolve them as necessary.

• Perform data analysis.

• Complete member record reconciliation.

• Provide process and operational support to the iMDM Operations Support team.

• Remediate member identity and eligibility matching data.

• Review member demographic information to support accurate identity matching.

• Identify trends that may support algorithmic tuning and further reduce remediation task volume.

• Support quality reporting, analysis, and audits.

• Assist with developing plans and programs supporting continuous quality improvement.

• Help maintain accurate enterprise Person IDs across Optum, UnitedHealthcare, and commercial constituents.

• Support ongoing data stewardship activities.

• Help mitigate the risk of PHI/PII violations involving member demographic data.

• Work collaboratively as part of the operations support team.



Typical Day

The specialist will primarily work through the iMDM Inspector queue reviewing member records that have been identified as potential close matches. They will compare member identity, demographic, and eligibility information, determine whether records appropriately match, and resolve discrepancies when necessary.

In addition to queue remediation, the individual will perform data analysis and member-record reconciliation, document findings, provide operational support, and identify recurring patterns in the data. Those patterns may be used to recommend adjustments to the matching process or algorithm that could reduce future remediation volume. Depending on workload, the specialist may also assist with quality reporting, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
