• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Manager – SHE Overview
• Leads and supports Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Drives implementation of SHE management systems aligned with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14000 standards
• Acts as a subject matter expert for workplace safety, environmental compliance, and risk mitigation
• Partners with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to develop and implement safety strategies and initiatives
• Oversees incident investigations, training programs, and continuous improvement efforts to reduce workplace risks
• Ideal for experienced professionals with strong regulatory knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a proactive safety mindset.
Job Duties
• Implement and manage SHE programs and compliance initiatives across the facility
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, SARA, CWA, CAAA, and other regulatory standards
• Conduct SHE inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions
• Develop and recommend engineering and process improvements to enhance safety
• Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste management processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on safety planning, equipment selection, and process design
• Develop and deliver SHE training programs; act as internal training resource
• Monitor injury/illness trends and implement strategies to reduce risk
• Manage emergency response planning, drills, and incident command coordination
• Prepare reports and communicate findings to leadership and regulatory bodies
• Support safety committees and drive engagement across teams
• Provide leadership and mentorship to SHE staff and technical teams
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
