POSITION SUMMARY
This role consists of a lot of documentation of paperwork in exports with other countries, customs and possibility of local county and USDA.
Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure proper documentation of shipments, including invoices, packing lists, and shipping labels, and archive records for compliance and audit purposes.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• 1-3 years of experience
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Tools (Excel) and SharePoint.
• Must be detailed orientated and keep track of shipments and documentation.
• Able to reach out to requestor to clarify order if paperwork is incomplete
• Responsible for gathering and packaging seeds to drop off at Shipping and Receiving
• Must be able to follow the steps for shipping to each country as they have different requirements
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience with exporting process
• Experience communicating with USDA or county officials
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Documents and handles paperwork for shipping all over the world
• Checking Microsoft tools to see new shipping requests and updating pending requests
• Communicating with stakeholders about delays or updates on pending shipping requests
• Contacting Global logistics team to check on country requirements for shipping seed
• Preparing documents following directions and meeting requirements from import
• Applying for phytosanitary permits according to import requirements for specific countries
• Submitting seed samples to laboratory for testing according to import permit requirements
• Submitting labor requests depending on workload for the week
• Keeping track of timing on shipments
• Mostly office environment with visits to cold storage rooms
