L-H Battery Company, Inc., located in Jeffersonville, Ohio, is a Joint venture of LG Energy Solution and Honda to manufacture large lithum-ion polymer batteries. Products from L-H Battery power a variety of innovative energy storage applications.

Summary:

The Medical Lead provides technical and operational leadership for site medical programs, including injury and illness prevention, early intervention, associate accommodations, and medical compliance. Leads and supports clinic nurses, physicians, placement leaders, early intervention providers, and contract medical teams while partnering with site leadership and Health & Safety. Oversees medical service providers, supports the medical business plan, and drives continuous improvement through the PDCA process.



Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise placement leaders, contract teams, and other site medical resources.

• Provide leadership and direction to early intervention service providers, clinic nurses, physicians, placement leaders, and OSHA recordkeepers.

• Develop and monitor local medical service provider contracts and support implementation of the medical business plan through the PDCA process.

• Lead medical program activities in alignment with company and department strategies and support the Medical Unit Lead in achieving site objectives.

• Apply medical "windows of care" principles and knowledge of regional technologies and workflows to improve medical program effectiveness.

• Establish attainable but challenging targets, prioritize work, and direct resources toward high-value initiatives and continuous improvement.

• Monitor medical program performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead actions to achieve measurable results.

• Collaborate with site leaders and internal and external partners to build effective working relationships and accomplish team goals.

• Understand basic medical program cost drivers and apply appropriate management principles to effectively manage resources.

• Present key medical issues, performance information, and recommendations to local and department leadership.

• Communicate effectively through written and verbal channels and conduct efficient meetings.

• Build teamwork and trust by demonstrating accountability, respect, and consideration for the experiences and perspectives of others.

• Seek feedback and knowledge beyond the assigned area, apply lessons learned, and share best practices with others.

• Provide timely guidance and feedback to team members and peers to support problem-solving and achievement of objectives.

• Perform other duties as assigned.



Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related medical/healthcare field required.

• 4-6+ years of nursing or occupational health experience.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

• Experience leading or directing clinical or medical teams preferred.

• Occupational health, industrial medicine, manufacturing, or employee health experience preferred.



Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong knowledge of occupational health and medical management practices.

• Understanding of injury and illness prevention, early intervention, accommodations, and OSHA recordkeeping.

• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, data analysis, and decision-making skills.

• Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple demands.

• Ability to motivate and direct team members to achieve objectives.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems.

• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
