Job Description
***Only qualified Network Automation Engineer - located near Franklin, MA are to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence ***



Preferred Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)



Required Skills, Experience & Abilities:

• 5+ years of network engineering experience

• Layer 2/Layer 3 switching (VLANs, VRRP, MC-LAG, STP, VTP, PortChannel, and routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP)

• Network design and troubleshooting in enterprise environments

• Hands-on experience with network automation tools, such as:

• Demonstrated proficiency in Python, Ansible, or similar scripting/automation frameworks

• REST APIs and network programmability concepts

• Familiarity with major networking platforms (e.g., Dell, Cisco, Arista, Juniper)

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security fundamentals



Role:

We are seeking a skilled Network Automation Engineer with strong expertise in network automation and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching for on-site support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure while driving automation initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.



Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, with a focus on Layer 2/Layer 3 switching technologies

• Develop and implement network automation solutions to streamline provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting

• Manage and optimize network performance, availability, and security across data center and campus environments

• Automate routine network operations using scripting and orchestration tools

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network integration and deployment efforts

• Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis

• Maintain up-to-date network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures

• Participate in change management, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives
