Job Description

Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field and 3+ years of enterprise wireless networking experience
• High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant enterprise wireless networking experience

Preferred Certifications:
• Cisco certifications such as:
• CCNA Wireless
• CCNP Enterprise (Wireless)
• CCIE Wireless

Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years' experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise wireless networks
• Hands-on experience with: Cisco Catalyst Wireless (9800 Series Controllers & Access Points), Cisco Meraki Wireless Solutions * Cisco DNA Center (Assurance & Automation)
• Experience conducting wireless site surveys and RF analysis using Ekahau or AirMagnet
• Strong knowledge of IEEE 802.11 wireless standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
• Experience troubleshooting wireless connectivity, roaming, authentication (802.1X), RF interference, and coverage issues
• Solid understanding of: DHCP, DNS & VLANs

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer – Enterprise Wireless to join our IT Operations team supporting enterprise wireless infrastructure across multiple business locations. This role is responsible for designing, deploying, optimizing, and supporting secure, high-performing Cisco wireless environments across office, warehouse, production, and distribution facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Cisco Catalyst Wireless, Cisco Meraki, Cisco DNA Center, RF design, wireless site surveys, and enterprise wireless troubleshooting. This position requires a proactive engineer capable of leading wireless initiatives, improving network performance, supporting automation efforts, and serving as the Tier III escalation point for wireless-related incidents while following ITIL best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and support enterprise Cisco wireless infrastructure across multiple locations
• Configure and maintain Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless Controllers, Cisco Access Points, Cisco Meraki, and Cisco DNA Center
• Conduct wireless site surveys, RF planning, predictive modeling, and post-deployment validation using Ekahau or AirMagnet
• Analyze RF performance and resolve interference, roaming, authentication, latency, and coverage issues
• Monitor and optimize wireless performance using Cisco DNA Center Assurance and Meraki Dashboard
• Develop wireless heatmaps, architecture documentation, standards, and deployment documentation
• Lead wireless hardware refreshes, firmware upgrades, lifecycle management, and infrastructure improvements
• Serve as Tier III escalation for complex wireless incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Implement wireless security standards including WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, RADIUS, segmentation, and QoS
• Collaborate with networking, cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to integrate enterprise wireless services
• Support automation initiatives using Cisco DNA Center, APIs, Python, and Ansible
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and knowledge articles
• Participate in on-call support rotation and after-hours escalations as needed
• Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Change, and Problem Management
• Travel up to 25% for site surveys, deployments, troubleshooting, and wireless optimization projects
