Job Description
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum preferred, but open to considering an applicant with an Applied Engineering or Technical Business background

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years industry experience
• Major Job Duties & Responsibilities: Position is focused on project management & sustainable value creation of global hydraulics and cab components. Activities encompass collaborating with the global engineering team, hydraulic component suppliers and procurement professionals to identify and deliver product value on business investments. Responsible for maintaining the department’s sustainable value creation dashboard, summarizing large data sets and extracting business opportunities to execute. Technical communications and ability to share results in leadership presentations are necessary.
• Secondary job responsibilities include serving as product design engineering lead for purchased finished, supplier designed component new product introduction projects. Role would focus on leveraging hydraulics component engineering processes, technical and commercial competencies and require collaboration with supplier and company representatives.
• Desired engineering skills include understanding machine hydraulic system architecture and components, manufacturing processes and global sourcing combined with ability to apply specialized technical information to understand functional requirements, identify trends, draft detailed component requirements and improvement projects, evaluate material properties, complete design analysis/verification activities, lead detailed collaboration sessions with multiple teams, and conduct technical design reviews.

Required Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency with collaboration/project management methods and Microsoft Office programs (e.g. SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerBi, etc.)
• Ability to conduct analysis on large data sets, quickly summarize key results/trends and incorporate into stakeholder reports.
• Basic knowledge of a full product development lifecycle: business value, systems interactions, requirements gathering, functional specification authoring, product development methods, testing/validation and value stream engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Clients Global Hydraulics Organization within Integrated Components & Solutions Division (ICD) is seeking a Design Engineer role as lead product cost analyst across the hydraulics organization with supplemental role as product application engineer for vendor designed hydraulic cylinders. The successful candidate will join a dynamic product development team with lead responsibility for analyzing, influencing, implementing and reporting of cost management opportunities on global hydraulic components.
• Take command of executing New Product Introduction (NPI) programs with new hydraulic cylinder solutions, skillfully analyze customer product performance challenges, and develop new designs in a highly collaborative environment with the global hydraulic cylinder partners. This position will leverage your technical, commercial and project leadership skills to drive product cost management initiatives in alignment with procurement professionals, global design engineers, product manufacturing, and machine business division partners.

• Attending and/or conducting team meetings (most virtually) collaboratively with internal product development teams and suppliers, creating/updating project management plans, conducting product cost and design analysis, reviewing engineering specifications/drawings, and conducting project stakeholder reviews. Key task also includes analysis on large data sets, organizing and summarizing impact, and reviewing trends.
• Apply technical knowledge of hydraulic component design methods, component materials and metrology and technical specifications against application requirements to ensure the product as designed by a supplier with client unique integration and/or performance features are planned and executed in a manner that results in effective component product development, aligned with program deadlines. Engineer must be able to effectively manage technical information protection, schedule and organize project deliverables, complete both team and independent deliverables and create and/or coordinate technical and commercial information for report out in team and stakeholder reviews.
