Job Description

Required Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field OR the equivalent of 4 years of professional experience in material planning or related function
• 1+ years of experience in material planning, or 6 months of participation in a co-op/internship in a material planning role

Position Purpose/Scope: What are the key objectives of the position?
Efficiently ensures availability of the required material in the right amount and timely arrival to support Plant Spartanburg or Overseas Plants delivery schedule. Monitors supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery. Follows the defined escalation scenarios in case of deviations.

Training: As applicable, per Client Training Guidelines

Required Technical Skills:
• 3+ years of computer skills to include MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• 3+ years of interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• 6+ months knowledge of SAP or other ERP software (preferably with an emphasis in Material Planning)
• 6+ months of knowledge of logistics processes in the supply chain

Responsibilities:
• Controls supply level and plans stock of the correct quantity of parts in the correct time, while following the logistics standards related to inventory levels on hand
• Monitors and secures on-time delivery to Client locations (Manufacturing or Consolidated Services)
• Serves as the point of contract for assigned suppliers and related transportation service providers
• Performs basic data processing and parameter administration in the material planning system
• Supports series production, parts run-in & run-out and participates in the implementation of technical changes, including minimization of obsolescence costs
• Maintains monthly supplier ratings and quarterly LPKM (supplier competence and performance management) rating information
• Participates in internal projects with material control process partners
• Understands and models VPA (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving
• Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles
• Performs other duties as assigned by management

Additional Details:
• A-shift
• Occasionally have to work some Saturday shifts. This is on demand but they have a rotating schedule
• Nice to have: German & Spanish
• Must be onsite 100% during onboarding period, following this currently have 1 day per week work from home on rotating basis. Subject to change
