Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience with Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counterbalance Forklifts, Slip Attachments, Clamp Trucks, and Dock Stockers

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced distribution environment

• Read and interpret warehouse, shipping, and distribution documents

• Collaborate effectively with coworkers to meet operational goals

• Perform duties independently with minimal supervision

• Operate material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently

• Use Voice Pick systems and RF scanners for order processing and inventory management

• Meet productivity, accuracy, and performance metrics in a results-driven environment

• Apply basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills to daily tasks

• Demonstrate knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations

• Work safely around moving mechanical equipment and warehouse machinery

Position Overview:

Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate loading and unloading of product within the distribution center. Uses ERP systems requiring location and storage of items, proper packaging, and methods of movement of materials. May prepare goods for final shipment. May prepare, coordinate, and execute documentation for final shipment for domestic and international. Will handle material either inbound or outbound based on business needs.



Responsibilities:

• Process customer orders by scanning barcodes, picking items, and labeling boxes

• Pick, pack, and process orders for shipment

• Use RF scanners and technology to process orders accurately

• Maintain a clean and organized work area according to SOPs and work instructions

• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and company procedures

• Complete required RF device training and maintain assigned system profiles

• Verify order accuracy and package shipments correctly

• Palletize completed orders by scanning, retrieving, and placing products on pallets

• Re-palletize products as needed for shipment requirements

• Scan completed pallets and operate shrink-wrap equipment when required

• Transport pallets using material handling equipment (MHE) as needed

• Verify shipment accuracy and proper packaging

• Use ERP and WMS systems for inventory storage, movement, and tracking

• Prepare goods and documentation for domestic and international shipments

• Handle inbound and outbound material movement based on business needs

• Load and unload shipments using warehouse management systems (WMS)

• Ensure safe loading and unloading practices to prevent product damage

• Complete assigned tasks according to departmental standards and procedures

• Locate, retrieve, and replenish inventory in picking locations

• Follow all safety procedures to prevent injuries and maintain safe working conditions

• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Assist with SAP functions and training when required

• Maintain current status on required training modules

• Operate material handling equipment safely and report damage or maintenance issues immediately

• Keep equipment clean, organized, and compliant with company procedures

• Maintain required equipment certifications

• Follow warehouse safety and security policies at all times

• Report injuries, accidents, hazards, unsafe conditions, and suspicious activity immediately

• Support warehouse security and maintain a safe work environment

• Understand and support organizational quality standards and goals

• Maintain a clean, professional, and organized work area

• Follow sanitation and housekeeping guidelines to ensure facility cleanliness

• Complete Hazmat awareness, safety, security, and function-specific training as required

• Cross-train in multiple warehouse functions and provide backup support during absences or vacations
