Job Description
Required Skills:

• 4+ years in email marketing operations/marketing technology, with direct hands-on platform experience

• Hands-on experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and/or Eloqua; platform-migration experience strongly preferred

• Proven ability to build, QA, and deploy complex, triggered, segmented email journeys

• Strong command of audience segmentation, suppression logic, and UTM/attribution tracking

• Experience partnering with data teams to build and manage audiences in a CDP — Segment.com and Twilio experience strongly preferred

• Experience planning and running webinars or cohort-based engagement programs

• Ability to operate in a fast-moving, multi-stakeholder migration program (regular standups, external agency coordination, UAT) while keeping production campaigns running

• Detail-oriented and process-driven, with strong documentation habits

Preferred Skills:

• Experience migrating campaigns between marketing automation platforms at scale

• Familiarity with downstream destination integrations from a CDP

• Familiarity with HTML and CSS for email

• Prior experience marketing to learners, students, or in the education sector

• Familiarity with community-driven marketing (Facebook Groups, LinkedIn, cohort communities)

Duties:

• Own the migration. Serve as Intuit Academy's hands-on driver for the Eloqua to AJO migration — partner with the broader migration program and external build team, review and prioritize the existing campaign inventory (what migrates, what retires), map audiences and integration dependencies, validate requirements before campaigns are rebuilt in AJO, and lead UAT before go-live

• Keep the lights on through hiring season. Maintain live Intuit Academy campaigns in parallel with migration work, ensuring no disruption to email performance during our busiest season

• Build and deploy the emails. Take messaging and copy from the team and build, QA, and deploy emails, journeys, and campaign flows for the hiring campaigns—managing triggers, segmentation, and suppression logic.

• Run core campaign motions. Execute top-of-funnel webinars, "Fast Track" high-engagement cohort communications, and incentive campaigns (e.g., gift-card and referral programs) with targeting logic tied to funnel stage.

• Stand up new-audience infrastructure. Build audience-specific onboarding, engagement, and re-enrollment journeys for new learner segments; implement suppression logic so each audience receives relevant content; and integrate with source-based attribution so journeys trigger correctly

Track performance. Monitor primary metrics (enrolled, progressed, completion/badge rate) and secondary metrics (practice-test adoption, time-to-completion, CTR)

• Document the ecosystem. Produce flowcharts of the current and target email ecosystem, and document journey logic, audiences, and dependencies for hand-off to the incoming full-time owner

About Client Academy

Client Academy gives people with no accounting background a free, flexible, online path to real skills and real careers in tax preparation and bookkeeping. As part of Client, a global technology platform serving more than 100 million customers through TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we are helping learners everywhere build financial expertise and unlock new professional opportunities. As we grow, our email ecosystem is going through a once-in-a-platform transition — and we need a hands-on operator to help us land it while keeping our busiest hiring season running.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, technical role at a pivotal moment. Client Academy is migrating its email program from Eloqua to Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) while simultaneously expanding into multiple new learner audiences and running the FY27 hiring season. As our Email Marketing & Lifecycle Specialist, you will own that migration, build and deploy every campaign journey, and take our messaging and run the campaigns — webinars, cohorts, incentive programs, and more — that move learners from enrollment through certification and into the hiring pipeline. This is a role for someone who loves the machinery of email and can run a campaign end-to-end.
