Proven ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into tactical adjustments that improve content reach and engagement.
• Familiarity with digital analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead distribution efforts and campaigns with a high degree of autonomy in a matrixed organization.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for testing new formats and channels to reach and engage diverse audiences.
• Client maker of TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, is searching for a growth-oriented Content Marketing Manager to join the TurboTax Communications team. This is a strategic execution role focused on expanding the reach and impact of our content across owned and organic channels. This role is for a seasoned practitioner who thrives on optimizing content for diverse audiences and ensuring our brand presence is strong and effective across the digital ecosystem.
• Reporting directly to the Principal Content Strategist, you will be responsible for the distribution strategy, campaigns, and performance of our content programs. You will partner closely with channel leads to scale our owned content assets, leveraging multi-channel best practices to drive brand affinity and customer engagement. Your role is critical in ensuring our content reaches the right customers at the right time through a coordinated, data-driven approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Distribution & Channel Strategy:
• Lead the tactical distribution of core editorial assets (articles, video, social content) across diverse channels, including social media, CRM, and organic search, to maximize the visibility and engagement of content.
• Connect the dots between owned content and our internal influencer and paid marketing teams, ensuring we're leveraging influencer activations and paid partnerships to build authority.
• Optimize content for discoverability across modern search (SEO/GEO) and social platforms, ensuring our content is highly accessible and addresses the most pressing questions of our target audiences.
• Oversee relationships with external distribution and 3rd party publishers, identifying and facilitating new content partnerships to expand our digital footprint and strengthen our brand's presence on high-authority sites.
Campaign Ownership & Engagement Programs:
• Lead the end-to-end activation of integrated content campaigns, owning the lifecycle of these campaigns from coordinating the initial launch across teams to final performance reporting.
• Identify opportunities to create new content-led programs designed to drive deep audience engagement, testing unique formats that build brand affinity.
• Partner with the Integrated Content Strategist to build and manage seamless content pathways across our platforms, ensuring a cohesive and helpful experience for customers throughout their financial journey.
Performance, Growth & Optimization:
• Utilize platforms like Optimizely to run a roadmap of A/B tests on headlines, content formats, and CTAs to improve engagement rates and drive traffic to our core product experiences.
• Track content performance, brand mentions, and Share of Voice across digital platforms to ensure our content remains relevant, accurate, and addresses key consumer needs.
• Focus on high-value content assets — such as video, podcasts, and interactive content — to engage consumers and provide clear value that supports their financial goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Serve as a central point of contact for Social, PR, Influencer, and CRM teams, providing them with high-impact assets and tailored content to support their specific channel objectives.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and agency partners to ensure major content initiatives are integrated into broader marketing plans and cross-functional workstreams.
