Job Description

Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Preferred Education:
• MBA or Master's degree with a focus on Marketing, Strategy, or Business Administration — particularly valuable for candidates targeting enterprise or C-suite buyer segments.
Required Skills:
• 5–8 years of product marketing experience, with a meaningful portion focused on B2B events GTM.
• Demonstrated ability to translate messaging strategies and content playbooks into event-specific themes, sessions, and descriptions with minimal oversight.
• Deep background in SaaS, ERP, business software, financial management, or adjacent B2B technology categories.
• Strong cross-functional influencer — able to align stakeholders, push back constructively, and build trust with both execution teams and senior leaders.
• Data-backed approach to decision-making; comfortable with event metrics, funnel attribution, and deriving actionable insights from performance data.
• Excellent written communication skills — able to develop crisp briefs, tight messaging frameworks, and compelling session narratives.
• Experience presenting strategy and performance recommendations to marketing and product leadership.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with both owned flagship events and third-party sponsorship programs.
• Familiarity with financial management, ERP, or accounting buyer personas (CFO, Controller, Finance Ops).
• Demonstrated ability to work with AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate PMM output — including drafting strategy briefs, messaging audits, and synthesis — with strong judgment on when to direct, edit, and override AI-generated work.
• Understanding of marketing and event tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Splash, or equivalent).
• Experience developing or managing demo scripts and product storytelling for live event environments.
• Background building scalable PMM playbooks, templates, or repeatable event frameworks.
Core Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Messaging
• Develop strategy briefs for in-person and virtual events across owned and third-party formats, defining key messages, content direction, audience insights, outcome-driven messaging, and KPIs that ladder to business goals.
• Translate product positioning and messaging playbooks into event-specific themes, session narratives, and audience-relevant value propositions.
• Identify and document customer problem statements and pain points to ground event messaging in real buyer needs; maintain and update audience insight libraries across event formats.
• Ensure consistency and relevance of messaging across event tiers, from flagship owned events to third-party sponsorships.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Execution Enablement
• Partner with event strategists and producers to ensure key messages resonate through keynotes, speaker scripts, session descriptions, and promotional communications.
• Review and provide PMM input on agendas and programming to ensure top audience experiences and priorities are reflected.
• Partner with event strategist to ensure key product features, workflows, and use cases are accurately and compellingly represented in demos and demo scripts; collaborate with inbound PMM and SE teams on narrative framing.
• Participate in staff and speaker prep sessions, providing messaging coaching and positioning context.
Performance, Insights & Optimization
• Track and synthesize performance and learnings across events and event formats; identify patterns across audiences, geographies, and content types.
• Develop optimization recommendations for both strategy (messaging, themes, session mix) and execution (formats, timing, channel) based on data and learnings.
• Build and maintain a PMM events playbook capturing repeatable frameworks, messaging templates, and best practices.
• Partner with event channel lead and marketing analytics to define event attribution and ensure consistent measurement standards across the events portfolio.
Stakeholder Communication & Influence
• Present event strategy briefs, messaging recommendations, and performance readouts to senior marketing and product leaders.
• Serve as the PMM voice in event planning forums, cross-functional syncs, and post-event retrospectives.
• Identify and escalate strategic gaps or misalignments between event messaging and broader GTM positioning.
