Position Overview:

Responsible for operating equipment in the department safely and producing quality products per documentation. Perform quality checks, changeovers, SAP data entries, and basic troubleshooting. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and best practices, and all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.



Responsibilities:

• Work as one of a team for maximum effectiveness and optimal task methods, which includes product inspection, operating equipment, raw material and finished goods movements, and clean room area and equipment cleaning/sanitizing

• Perform visual inspections

• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment

• Perform changeovers, line clearance, and cleaning

• Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment

• Facilitate continuous operation of the equipment through breaks

• Perform rework

• Cross-train where needed within the department to support the business

• Maintain all quality and GMP standards

• Perform needed SAP data entries

• May require the use of a 10x microscope, calipers, and/or other miscellaneous gauges

• Participate on blitz teams as assigned

• Achieving established production goals

• Ensuring the quality of all products produced

• Performing quality checks as designated

• Ability to function as part of a team

• Processing SAP and MES transactions for the department

• Assisting in the BDA process to identify root causes

• Maintain compliance with all required document training

• Operate lines in a safe and efficient manner

• Drive department results by reducing downtime and completing tasks in an efficient manner

• Maximize efficient time usage in the department

• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

• Perform routine production functions including filling, utility operations, packaging, assembling, labeling and inspecting under general supervision.

• Maintain accurate records and logs in accordance with FDA (Food and Drug Administration), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO9000 (International Organization for Standardization)

• Effectively work in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives

• Make effective decisions relative to position requirements

• Follow instructions and work within routine, standard practices when making decisions

• Works under direct supervision, following standard operating procedures
