Job Description
**Only qualified Machine Operator candidates located near the Columbus, Nebraska area will be considered, as the position requires an on-site presence.**
Preferred Education:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities:
• Must Be able to Work the Night Shift.
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Previous experience with MES
• Previous experience with precision measuring instruments preferred
• Work effectively on own, or in a team atmosphere – Proficient
• Ability to maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area – Proficient
• Willingness and ability to train others - Proficient
• Teamwork – Proficient
• Organization skills, detailed oriented – Basic
Role:
Responsible for operating equipment in department safely and producing quality products per documentation.
- Perform quality checks, changeovers, SAP data entries, and basic troubleshooting.
- Ensures compliance with quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and safety regulations, policies and procedures.
- Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function.
- Willing and able to uphold client Values.
Responsibilities:
- Work as one of a team for maximum effectiveness and optimal task methods, which includes product inspection, operating equipment, raw material and finished goods movements and clean room area and equipment cleaning / sanitizing
- Perform visual inspections
- Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment
- Perform changeovers, line clearance and cleaning
- Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment
- Facilitate continuous operation of the equipment through breaks
- Perform rework
- Cross train where needed within the department to support the business
- Maintain all quality and GMP standards
- Perform needed SAP data entries
- May require the use of 10x microscope, calipers, and/or other miscellaneous gauges
- Participate on blitz teams as assigned
- Achieving established production goals
- Ensuring the quality of all product produced
- Performing quality checks as designated
- Ability to function as part of a team
- Processing SAP and MES transactions for department
- Assisting in the process to identify root causes
- Maintain compliance with all required document training
- Operate lines in a safe and efficient manner
- Drive department results by reducing downtime and completing tasks in an efficient manner
- Maximize efficient time usage in the department
- Other duties as required to support the needs of the business
