Job Description
**Only qualified Machine Operator candidates located near the Mebane, North Carolina area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence.**



Required Educations:

• High School Diploma or equivalent



Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities:

• 1 year manufacturing experience

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Ability to lift 40lbs

• Ability to do repetitive motion

• Can effectively work in a team setting and communicate successfully across the department

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature with the skill to recognize any deviations from specification

• Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic

• Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of a Windows environment is required



Role:

• Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures.

• Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.

• Has basic training in an operational process area.

• Works within clearly defined SOPs and adheres to quality guidelines.

• Works with a high degree of supervision and has minimal discretion.



Responsibilities:

• Manually packages kits

• Performs cleaning functions

• Tests / Inspects parts for in-process quality checks

• Trains others

• Accurately completes paperwork

• Pulls raw material for order

• Feeds raw material on production line

• Clears some common machine faults

• Performs some set up and start up tasks for the machine

• Performs some shut down tasks for the machine

• Offers some input for Standard Operating Procedures

• Performs few controls and adjustments for machine settings

• Demonstrates the ability to follow and document in established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

• Must follow all housekeeping policies and procedures

• Must follow all safety policies and procedures

• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements

• Perform other duties as required
