Job Description
***Only qualified Packaging Operator candidates located near the Hunt Valley, Maryland area will be considered due to the position requiring an on-site presence***
Required Education

Required Experience
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or warehouse experience
• Experience in a regulated environment
Technical Skills
• Basic proficiency with personal computers and Windows environment
• Ability to read and follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
• Ability to operate weighing scales, hand filling equipment, integrated fill lines, bagging equipment and shrink wrap equipment
• Ability to maintain accurate records and logs manually and electronically
• Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and packaging issues
Soft Skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with manufacturing teams and across shifts
• Ability to recognize deviations from specifications
• Ability to manage frequent assignment changes
• Ability to use independent judgment to plan, perform, make decisions and solve problems
• Ability to work in a repetitive environment and stand for long periods
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Responsibilities
• Perform packaging activities in accordance with standard manufacturing procedures and standard operating procedures
• Set up clean and document packaging equipment and processes
• Fill assemble label and inspect products under general supervision
• Maintain accuracy when weighing materials according to established tolerances
• Move required materials from storage or staging areas to the workspace using material handling equipment
• Operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales hand filling equipment integrated fill lines bagging equipment and shrink wrap equipment
• Maintain accurate production records including operation and cleaning logs batch history records label reconciliation and work order information
• Perform data entry and imprint computer generated labels
• Perform initial checks of completed documents for completeness and accuracy
• Identify minor equipment repair needs and troubleshoot basic packaging issues
• Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices and applicable procedures
• Follow all client housekeeping policies and procedures
• Follow all client safety policies and procedures
• Work overtime as required to meet business requirements
• Perform other duties as required
