Job Description
Required Education:
• High School Diploma

Required Experience/Skills:
• 1–3+ years of CNC experience in a production environment
• Experience operating milling machines and/or CNC lathes
• Comfortable using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Basic computer skills (email, following digital work instructions, and entering production data)

Position Overview:
The CNC Production Technician supports high-volume medical device manufacturing through precision manual finishing and CNC machine operation. Approximately 50% of this role involves detailed hand deburring of aluminum components to meet strict cosmetic and dimensional standards. This role is well-suited for a dependable production operator who has strong machine awareness. Candidates with prior maintenance or troubleshooting experience are highly valued. There is an opportunity to further develop machine diagnostic and repair skills over time.

CNC Production Technician Job Duties:
• Perform manual deburring of aluminum medical components to meet cosmetic and dimensional specifications.
• Use hand tools such as swivel deburring tools, scrapers, and abrasive pads
• Ensure parts are free of burrs, sharp edges, scratches, and tool marks
• Conduct detailed visual inspections before quality review
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts from Makino and Mazak machining centers (mills and lathes)
• Run established programs and monitor production cycles
• Perform basic tool changes and tool offset adjustments
• Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Maintain production output in alignment with daily schedules
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks such as coolant checks, lubrication checks, and chip removal
• Identify and respond to machine alarms and abnormal operation
• Assist in diagnosing mechanical or tooling issues

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
• Manual dexterity for detailed hand-finishing work
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and work around industrial machinery
• Work performed in a machine shop environment with exposure to coolant, metal chips, and industrial equipment
