SUMMARY
This position plays a vital role in ensuring seamless global trade operations by managing the complex coordination of materials moving across international borders. The successful candidate will serve as a critical link between multiple stakeholders, ensuring that all import and export activities meet stringent regulatory requirements while supporting production schedules and customer commitments. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance compliance obligations with operational efficiency, working independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships across various departments and international partners. The position demands someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and timeliness are paramount to business success.

EDUCATION
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree preferred

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years of experience in business, supply chain, international commerce, or related field preferred
• Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to APHIS, Customs and Border Protection, USDA, and other government agencies
• Knowledge of import and export operations, trade and compliance, and shipping and logistics preferred
• Experience with agricultural and chemical products preferred
• Strong working knowledge and experience with data systems such as ACE, SAP, GTS, Amber Road, and OneSource preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform import and export activities in compliance with government regulations, organizational policies, and procedures with minimal supervision
• Expedite the import and export process by liaising with regional coordinators, warehousing and distribution teams, and plant and production planning departments
• Coordinate logistics for shipments across multiple transportation modes including ocean, air, land, and rail freight
• Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation contract managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
• Ensure all work is completed in a timely and compliant manner, adhering to internal policies and government regulations
• Verify that all documentation is accurate and compliant with US and foreign customer requirements
• Audit team member files to ensure they are maintained in audit-ready status
• Participate in internal and external audits conducted by agencies such as USCBP and EPA
• Process all orders for assigned countries and product portfolios accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulations
• Stay current on all applicable import and export regulations through formal training and self-guided learning
• Develop, maintain, and train team members and stakeholders on standard operating procedures for assigned portfolios
• Collaborate cross-functionally across divisions and internationally to identify and implement best practices
• Serve as the key contact for foreign partners and customers
• Conduct import and export operations process training as required
• Handle complex global trade accounts and trade lanes
• Become a subject matter expert for assigned business units
• Perform additional duties and participate in projects as needed
