Job Description
REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, International Commerce, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience; OR 7+ years of experience in import/export, logistics, manufacturing, or international commerce if no degree.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on experience with import/export operations and international logistics.

• Working knowledge of applicable customs and government regulations.

• Experience with SAP and/or Global Trade Management systems.

• Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Ability to work overtime when business needs require.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Agricultural and/or chemical product experience is a plus.



SUMMARY

Seeking an experienced Import/Export Trade Compliance Specialist to support global trade operations from our Oxnard, California location. This role is responsible for coordinating international shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, supporting regulatory compliance, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to keep global trade activities moving efficiently.



The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with import/export operations, customs and government regulations, international logistics, and SAP or Global Trade systems.



RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage import and export activities in compliance with applicable government regulations, Company policies, procedures, and business requirements.

• Coordinate international shipments across ocean, air, ground, and rail transportation modes.

• Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation providers, regional trade coordinators, warehouses, production planning, and internal business partners.

• Ensure import/export documentation is accurate, complete, timely, and compliant with U.S. and international requirements.

• Manage complex global trade accounts, trade lanes, assigned countries, and product portfolios.

• Support compliance with requirements from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, USDA, APHIS, EPA, and other applicable government agencies.

• Maintain accurate, audit-ready import/export files and participate in internal and external compliance audits.

• Use SAP and/or Global Trade systems to support international order processing and trade activities.

• Serve as a key contact for international customers, foreign partners, and internal stakeholders.

• Develop, maintain, and communicate Standard Operating Procedures related to assigned trade activities.

• Train team members and business stakeholders on import/export processes and compliance requirements.

• Identify process improvements and help implement best practices across international trade operations.

• Stay current on applicable import/export laws, regulations, and company procedures through training and self-directed learning.

• Support special projects and other global trade initiatives as needed.
