Job Description
***Only qualified Legal Support Associate candidates located near the Sioux Falls SD area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence 3 days per week***



Required Experience

* Experience working in a corporate legal department, law firm, financial services consulting, technology firm or related industry

* Experience working with legal documents

* Knowledge of legal customs and practices

* Demonstrated attention to detail



Tech Skills

* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other applications

* Proficiency working with PDF files

* Ability to extract data from legal documents

* Ability to analyze data and prepare reports



Soft Skills

* Strong attention to detail

* Strong compliance and ethical judgment

* Effective risk assessment skills

* Ability to manage multiple work requests and tight deadlines

* Ability to communicate and escalate control issues with transparency

* Ability to safeguard client assets and reputation



Responsibilities

* Provide comprehensive non attorney legal support across legal operations technology budget and expenses risk and controls litigation discovery settlements and administration

* Handle diverse work requests from multiple sources including complex requests with tight deadlines

* Administer defined procedures and conduct analysis with work reviewed by a more senior incumbent

* Prepare reports based on analysis and extracted legal data

* Extract data from legal documents

* Assess risk when making business decisions while considering client reputation and safeguarding client assets

* Ensure compliance with applicable laws rules and regulations

* Adhere to company policies and apply sound ethical judgment in business practices

* Escalate manage and report control issues with transparency
