Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.



Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience

• Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Administrator, or similar legal support professional.

• Experience supporting litigation matters is required.

• Strong understanding of legal document formatting, preparation, organization, and filing.

• Experience supporting attorneys and/or paralegals in a litigation environment.

• Experience with SharePoint.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict legal filing deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work 4 days per week onsite and maintain working hours through at least 5:00 PM PST when required for filings.



Preferred Skills

• Paralegal background or experience supporting litigation paralegals.

• Experience in a regulatory legal environment, particularly within a utility or energy company.

• Heavy litigation experience in areas such as personal injury or other civil litigation.

• Experience working within a corporate legal department.

• Experience with iManage or similar legal document management/repository systems.

• Experience preparing or assisting with interrogatories, boilerplate templates, discovery materials, and other legal documents.

• Familiarity with regulatory or legal filings.



Role Overview

The Legal Assistant will support litigation paralegals and attorneys with day-to-day legal and administrative activities, including legal document preparation, formatting, scheduling, document management, and time-sensitive filings.



Duties

• Support litigation paralegals and attorneys with day-to-day legal activities.

• Schedule meetings and coordinate litigation-related activities and deadlines.

• Assist with preparing, formatting, proofreading, and organizing legal documents.

• Assist paralegals with interrogatories, boilerplate templates, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.

• Support preparation and coordination of legal filings, including filings with strict 5:00 PM PST deadlines.

• Maintain and organize legal documents and case files.

• Manage documents and information using SharePoint and other document repositories.

• Assist with maintaining accurate and organized litigation records.

• Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and internal stakeholders to ensure deadlines and legal support activities are completed accurately and on time.

• Provide general legal administrative and litigation support to the legal team.
