Job Description
REQUIRED EDUCATION
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 1–3 years of relevant technical, laboratory, engineering, or hands-on systems experience.
• Basic knowledge of constructing and testing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience working in a laboratory or technical environment.
• Experience preparing samples and collecting and managing data.
• Strong mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple supervisors and project teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work on-site full-time.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Mechanical fabrication and assembly using hand and power tools.
• Soldering, cutting, welding, grinding, drilling, or similar fabrication processes.
• Electrical testing using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, or other test equipment.
• PCB component-level soldering and troubleshooting.
• Programming or operating single-board microcontrollers or computers.
• Programming using higher-level languages.
• Operating milling machines, drilling machines, or lathes.
• Prototype construction, testing, and troubleshooting.

SUMMARY
This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career technical professional who enjoys building, testing, troubleshooting, and improving mechanical and electrical systems. You will support the development of working prototypes and help validate system performance while contributing ideas that improve quality, efficiency, and throughput.

The ideal candidate is curious, mechanically inclined, technically versatile, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple projects and technical leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support engineering and scientific teams researching and developing innovative technical solutions.
• Assist with the construction, assembly, deployment, and testing of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Build and support working prototypes for laboratory, production, and agricultural applications.
• Perform startup and functional testing to evaluate prototype and system performance against established requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing methods, processes, throughput, quality, and integration with production systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components and systems.
• Prepare samples and collect, organize, and manage technical and test data.
• Support multiple engineering and scientific projects simultaneously.
• Collaborate with Safety teams to ensure compliance with company, industry, safety, and design standards.
• Work effectively in laboratory, production, and agricultural environments.
• Travel up to 15% as required.
