Job Description
Required Education

• Bachelor's in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline.



Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience

• Minimum of 02 years of demonstrated laboratory experience

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols and data preservation requirements

• Ability to work safely with toxic chemicals while adhering to laboratory safety procedures and protocols

• Ability to stand for extended periods while performing laboratory work

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills



Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience

• Experience working in an analytical laboratory

• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

• Experience with ICP, IC, XRF, SEM, GC-FID, and HPLC instrumentation



Laboratory Technician Overview

• The Analytical Laboratory Technician performs laboratory testing and analytical evaluations in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Control (QC) requirements, ASTM standards, and other approved testing methods

• This role is responsible for operating and supporting a variety of analytical instruments used for sample analysis and quality assessment

• The technician reviews test data, maintains accurate records, and ensures compliance with quality and safety requirements

• The position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a laboratory environment

• The successful candidate will contribute to laboratory efficiency by maintaining organized workspaces, supporting data management activities, and following established procedures for documentation and reporting

• This role requires a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous adherence to laboratory best practices



Job Duties

• Perform testing in accordance with SOPs, QC procedures, ASTM standards, and related test methods

• Operate analytical equipment and instrumentation including ICP, IC, XRF, SEM, GC-FID, HPLC, and related devices

• Review analytical data for quality trends and accuracy

• Prepare and maintain test reports and supporting documentation

• Utilize Microsoft Office applications and digital laboratory platforms, including LIMS

• Maintain laboratory housekeeping standards in accordance with 5S principles

• Follow all laboratory safety policies and procedures

• Monitor and respond to work-related emails and communications

• Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation in accordance with quality requirements

• Support laboratory operations and collaborate with team members to meet testing objectives
