SUMMARY

This laboratory support position plays a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our Genotyping operations during the third shift. Working from 1:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, the successful candidate will serve as a key contributor to daily laboratory functions by overseeing general operations, maintaining workspace organization, and ensuring the laboratory environment meets the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can independently manage sample processing, inventory control, and reagent preparation while operating and troubleshooting specialized genotyping equipment. The position demands strong organizational skills, the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments, and a commitment to maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards in a fast-paced laboratory setting.



EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

• Ability to work independently during overnight hours

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead general laboratory operations including housekeeping, organization, and maintenance of workspace cleanliness

• Receive, process, and accurately label incoming samples according to established protocols

• Maintain adequate inventory levels of labware and coordinate receipt of supplies

• Prepare buffers and reagents following standardized procedures

• Operate and troubleshoot genotyping production equipment to ensure optimal performance

• Review and archive task-related documentation in accordance with laboratory standards

• Follow Employee Safety and Health guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures at all times

• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment

• Manage multiple concurrent tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality

• Interface effectively with manufacturing and research personnel across departments

• Work collaboratively with multiple supervisors as needed
