SUMMARY
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with a PVP Scientist during summer field trials at the Woodland site. The role focuses on collecting critical data from plant characteristics throughout the growing season, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of research outcomes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting agricultural research by conducting field assessments, managing data collection processes, and maintaining laboratory operations. This hands-on position requires attention to detail, a passion for plant science, and the ability to work effectively in both field and laboratory environments.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Agriculture, Botany, Biology, or Horticulture

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Proficiency in using computer programs for data input and management
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow calibration guides accurately
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a research team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with scientists and team members

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assess plant parts based on calibration guides to collect high quality, reliable data on fruit and vegetable characteristics
• Input collected data into data management systems using computers or tablets
• Work alongside the PVP Scientist to assess plant maturity and ensure timely completion of data collection activities
• Perform general laboratory maintenance tasks to support ongoing research operations
• Maintain accurate records of field observations and measurements
• Follow established protocols and procedures for data collection and quality assurance
