Job Description
**Candidates must be located in the Austin, TX area **

Minimum Requirements:
• 8 years – Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using Java.
• 8 years – Application development on the J2EE platform.
• 8 years – Writing SQL for relational databases.
• 8 years – Developing RESTful web services using the Spring framework.
• 8 years – Working with Spring Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP), including transaction management and security.
• 8 years – Experience with JUnit and developing unit tests.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 4 years – Experience with the Angular UI Framework.
• 4 years – Experience with Crystal Reports.
• 4 years – Experience with Power BI.

Summary:
• Develop, enhance, and maintain software solutions by analyzing business requirements, collaborating with users, and evaluating system flows, data usage, and work processes.
• Support the SCOR BAU EI parallel initiative by implementing updates to the SCOR Java application, including business logic updates, UI enhancements, reporting extensions, and data model improvements.
• Troubleshoot, resolve defects, and participate in all phases of application maintenance, including coding, testing, documentation, and peer reviews.
• Ensure compliance with established coding standards, code coverage requirements, testing practices, and security policies.
• Provide on call support as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
• Develop software solutions by analyzing information needs and system requirements.
• Implement updates to the SCOR Java application, including enhancements to business logic, UI components, reporting capabilities, and data models.
• Support application maintenance, defect remediation, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Conduct coding, unit testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for defects and system issues.
• Maintain compliance with code coverage, testing, and security standards and procedures.
• Support applications across multiple environments (development, test, production).
• Collaborate with users, business analysts, and technical teams to refine system requirements.
• Provide on call support as needed.
• Complete other tasks as required by unit operations.
