Job Description
Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.



Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities:

• Typically 6+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in Java-based enterprise application development.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+ and Spring Boot / Spring Framework.

• Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.

• Strong experience with React.js and good understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, including NoSQL concepts, data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.

• Hands-on experience with OpenShift and containerized application environments.

• Experience with Docker / Kubernetes concepts and CI/CD practices.

• Experience with Git or other source control systems.

• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, enterprise application development, and modern software engineering practices.

• Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks.

• Experience developing responsive and reusable UI components and integrating front-end applications with REST APIs.

• Ability to design, develop, integrate, deploy, troubleshoot, and support production-grade enterprise applications.

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Job Overview:

Seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join a technology team supporting applications and digital solutions within the Banking / Financial Services domain.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, MongoDB, and OpenShift, along with a solid understanding of enterprise application development, APIs, cloud-native technologies, microservices, distributed systems, and modern software engineering practices. The successful candidate will work closely with business analysts, architects, developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions. The position involves working across the application lifecycle, including technical design, development, integration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, production support, and operational processes in an enterprise environment.



Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.

• Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end applications and reusable UI components using React.

• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate applications with internal and external systems.

• Develop and optimize data solutions using MongoDB and related database technologies.

• Deploy and manage applications in OpenShift and other containerized environments.

• Participate in application architecture, technical design, coding, code reviews, testing, and production support.

• Develop reusable, maintainable, high-quality code following enterprise coding standards and best practices.

• Troubleshoot application, performance, integration, and production issues.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and containerized application delivery.

• Implement application security, logging, monitoring, and error-handling practices.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate developers.

• Contribute to technical documentation, design documents, deployment procedures, and operational support processes.
