• Proficient in React; candidates with strong React experience can transition to Angular. Angular experience is not required.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, with an understanding of Core Java sufficient to review and understand existing code and integrate APIs.

• Experience with microservices from an integration perspective.

• Strong experience with API integration, including understanding requirements, reviewing code, and integrating APIs effectively.

• Understanding of application structure and programming fundamentals, with the ability to develop efficiently.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the full development cycle, from understanding user requirements and design through development and deployment.

• Ability to use AI development tools such as Copilot, Devin, and similar tools.

Overview:

The Applications Development Lead Programmer Analyst (C13) is a senior hands-on development role focused on building scalable Java and front-end solutions and delivering application components through the full development lifecycle. The role requires independent developers who can understand user requirements, contribute to design, develop solutions, integrate APIs, review and understand existing code, and take ownership through deployment and completion. The position is primarily React-focused, with Angular experience not required for candidates who are proficient in React and able to transition to Angular. Developers should have strong programming fundamentals and understand application structure so they can work efficiently. The role also involves mentoring junior and mid-level developers through technical guidance, code assignment, code reviews, and coaching, rather than managing them. Candidates are expected to bring the technical skills, self-motivation, and ownership mindset needed to take initiatives to completion. The role is seeking developers rather than architects, with emphasis on hands-on application development, Java, Spring Boot, front-end development, API integration, and microservices integration.



Responsibilities:

• Understand user requirements and translate them into application solutions.
