Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Hands-on experience in Web technologies (HTML, CSS), REST-APIs, and Backend using Java/J2EE technologies

• Experience with Agile software development processes with a strong emphasis on test driven development

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience in tools such as JIRA, BlackDuck, SONAR etc.

• Demonstrated capacity to build sophisticated tooling for development and production team use

• Has the ability to operate with minimal level of direct supervision

• Full-stack developer with 8-10+ years of experience in designing and developing robust, scalable, and maintainable applications applying Object Oriented Design principles

• Java Core with extensive hands-on experience with concurrent programming

• Spring Framework including Core, Integration, Batch, JDBC, Hibernate

• Databases - RDBMS preferably Oracle, NoSQL preferably MongoDB

• Familiarity with Linux environment including scripting skills

• SDLC/Dev Ops - Github, CI/CD pipeline frameworks such as Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, any secure coding toolkits

• Ability to lead and coach team of developers



Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Experience with React JS

• Experience in financial or banking sector

• Automated testing experience

• Experience with AI Dev tools such as Copilot



Overview:

This is a Lead development position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to build robust, high-performance, large-scale applications. The role requires extensive hands-on experience in web technologies, backend development using Java/J2EE technologies, REST APIs, Agile software development processes, and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate should have strong expertise in building scalable and maintainable applications using Object Oriented Design principles and experience working with Spring Framework, Oracle, MongoDB, Linux scripting, and DevOps tools. The ideal candidate should be capable of operating with minimal supervision while leading and coaching a team of developers. Experience with React JS, financial or banking sector projects, automated testing, and AI development tools such as Copilot will be considered an added advantage.



Job Duties:

• Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs

• Coordinate with the Technology Team to deliver application solutions

• Build robust, high-performance, and large-scale applications

• Develop backend applications using Java/J2EE technologies

• Develop and integrate REST APIs

• Work with web technologies including HTML and CSS

• Follow Agile software development processes with emphasis on test driven development

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines

• Utilize tools such as JIRA, BlackDuck, SONAR, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Github

• Build sophisticated tooling for development and production team use

• Design and develop scalable and maintainable full-stack applications

• Apply Object Oriented Design principles in application development

• Work with Spring Framework including Core, Integration, Batch, JDBC, and Hibernate

• Manage and work with Oracle and MongoDB databases

• Work within Linux environments and perform scripting tasks

• Lead and coach a team of developers
