Required Education//Certifications:

Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities:

• Expert-level knowledge of core Java concepts and frameworks such as Spring Boot and Microservices, with strong knowledge of OOP concepts and design patterns.

• Hands-on experience with Java Full Stack development using React and large data volumes.

• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.

• Extensive experience building highly scalable, high-performance software platforms for data computation and processing.

• Experience with containerized deployments and cloud-native architecture.

• Familiarity with Agile software development and DevOps best practices.

• Experience with caching solutions such as Pinot and Redis.

• Experience with relational and/or document-oriented databases.

• Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting.

• Ability to translate business and analytical requirements into efficient technical solutions.

• Typically, 8+ years of relevant experience building large-scale, production-grade systems, with demonstrated depth in Java-based backend development and distributed system design.

• Background in financial services, especially Market Risk or FinTech.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.

• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive projects independently.

• Ability to align technology with business goals and regulatory needs.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Overview:

This role provides deeply hands-on development while leading the technical design and implementation of key components of the Market Risk platform. The position focuses on building scalable, high-performance computing solutions for market risk calculations and analysis capabilities, while optimizing risk data processing pipelines for improved efficiency and response time. Responsibilities include implementing containerized deployments and integrating modern data platforms such as Snowflake for cloud-based data processing. The role requires close collaboration with product leads across the technology organization, Risk, Model Governance, Compliance, cross-functional teams, and global counterparts to deliver high-quality technology solutions. The successful candidate will translate business and analytical requirements into efficient technical solutions while ensuring regulatory requirements are accurately implemented. Working within an Agile development environment, the role also provides technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and contributes to the technical direction of the squad.



Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design and implementation of key components of the Market Risk platform while remaining deeply hands-on in development.

• Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities to improve existing and future technology solutions.

• Implement scalable and high-performance computing solutions for market risk computing and analysis capabilities.

• Implement containerized deployment and integrate with modern data platforms such as Snowflake for cloud-based data processing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global counterparts to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Optimize risk data processing pipelines to improve efficiency and response time.

• Partner with Risk, Model Governance, and Compliance stakeholders to ensure regulatory requirements are accurately implemented in market risk technology.

• Work in an Agile development environment to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers in the squad.
