Minimum Requirements:
• 3+ years – Experience coordinating server vulnerability remediation in an enterprise environment.
• 3+ years – Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (Change Management and IT Remediation Workspace).
• 3+ years – Strong understanding of change management processes and presenting to CAB.
• 3+ years – Practical knowledge of Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), and Citrix environments.
• 3+ years – Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent remediation efforts with strong organizational skills.
• 3+ years – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in cross-team coordination and executive/CAB presentations.

Preferred Qualifications
• 1+ year – Experience in a government, regulated, or large enterprise environment.
• 1+ year – Familiarity with vulnerability management workflows involving CSOC, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
• 1+ year – Experience coordinating out-of-band or emergency remediation activities.
• 1+ year – Exposure to audit, compliance, or security evidence collection practices.
• 1+ year – Demonstrated success in timely remediation of high-risk and exception-based vulnerabilities.
• 1+ year – Experience producing high-quality, CAB-approved change records with complete documentation.
• 1+ year – Proven ability to maintain clear, auditable tracking from assignment through closure.
• 1+ year – Experience improving coordination and reducing remediation delays across multi-platform environments.

Job Summary:
• Serves as the dedicated Vulnerability Remediation Coordinator for the TxDOT Server Team, ensuring continuous readiness for vulnerability remediation.
• Acts as the primary liaison between Cyber Security (CSOC), Server Operations, and Change Management to drive timely remediation of high-risk and exception-based vulnerabilities.
• Coordinates, tracks, and facilitates remediation activities outside standard patching cycles, ensuring compliance, auditability, and risk mitigation.
• Leverages ServiceNow, including IT Remediation Workspace, to manage remediation workflows and present changes to the Change Advisory Board (CAB).
• Supports enterprise environments across Windows, Linux (RHEL), and Citrix platforms, focusing on coordination and process execution rather than hands-on patching.

Job Responsibilities:

Vulnerability Remediation Coordination
• Review, triage, and manage vulnerability remediation assignments within ServiceNow IT Remediation Workspace.
• Coordinate remediation for vulnerabilities outside standard patch cycles (e.g., emergency, high-risk CVEs, exceptions).
• Serve as the central coordination point between Server Operations, Cyber Security (CSOC), and other stakeholders.
• Track remediation progress, dependencies, and outstanding actions through closure.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise vulnerability remediation processes and policies.

ServiceNow & IT Remediation Workspace
• Create and manage:
O Vulnerability Remediation Tasks (VUL)
O Change Requests
O Configuration Items (CIs)
• Document remediation plans, validation results, rollback steps, and implementation details.
• Ensure ServiceNow records meet audit and compliance standards prior to submission.
• Coordinate remediation sequencing across teams using workflows and assignment rules.

Change Management & CAB Presentation
• Prepare and submit Standard and Normal Change Requests for remediation activities.
• Present changes to CAB, clearly outlining:
O Risk and urgency
O Scope and impacted systems
O Remediation and testing plans
O Rollback and mitigation strategies
• Address CAB inquiries and coordinate follow-ups to secure approvals.
• Ensure approved changes are scheduled and executed within defined change windows.

Cross-Platform Server Support
• Coordinate remediation across:
O Windows Server
O Linux (RHEL)
O Citrix platforms
• Collaborate with platform SMEs to understand requirements without performing direct patching.
•Maintain consistent remediation tracking across all server environments.

Organization, Tracking & Reporting
• Maintain detailed tracking of:
O Vulnerabilities
O Change approvals
O Implementation progress
O Validation and closure evidence
• Provide reporting for audits, compliance, and leadership.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to remediation workflows.
