Required Education:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
• Experience in HR, compliance, onboarding, or operations support
• Familiarity with background check processing and documentation tracking
• Experience using relationship management, HR, applicant tracking, or case management systems
• Strong attention to detail, communication, confidentiality, and follow-through
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
• Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Experience reviewing records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance requirements
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing requests
• Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with candidates, employees, contractors, vendors, and leadership
• Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to appropriately escalate issues

Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
• Experience supporting NERC, PRA, compliance, or regulated access programs
• Experience with background check vendors, contractor onboarding, or compliance renewals
• Ability to track aging items, report delays, and support process improvements
• Experience managing cases within a case management or shared services environment
• Experience preparing reports, metrics, and compliance-related tracking summaries
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including filtering, formulas, reporting, and data analysis
• Experience working with SharePoint or other document management systems
• Experience coordinating with third-party vendors and service providers

NERC Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) Program Support:

Job Summary
The HR Assistant will provide administrative and operational support for the NERC Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) program. This role will help coordinate background check processing, maintain accurate records, support compliance-driven workflows, and partner with internal stakeholders, vendors, employees, and contractors to ensure timely and complete PRA-related activities. This role helps ensure NERC PRA activities are completed accurately, consistently, and on time, supporting compliance readiness, operational continuity, and a positive experience for candidates, employees, contractors, vendors, and internal partners

Key Responsibilities
• Support and track NERC PRA background check requests from initiation through completion, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
• Review background check information for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain accurate records in HR and relationship management systems
• Coordinate with HR, compliance, security, vendors, and business partners
• Monitor case queues, aging items, and outstanding requests to meet established service levels agreement, deadlines, renewals, and completion records for compliance readiness
• Provide status updates and respond to inquiries from employees, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Communicate required steps and documents to employees, contractors, and suppliers
• Handle confidential information and provide general administrative support
• Escalate compliance concerns, delays, or complex cases to appropriate partners when necessary
