Job Description
Required Education:
• University Degree in Healthcare Sciences, Health Administration, Business Administration, Health Informatics, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience

Required Experience:
• Demonstrated experience as a Clinical Analyst / Clinical Informatics Analyst (or equivalent) responsible for Clinical documentation related requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and developing business analysis documentation obtained in the last 10 years (5+ Years)
• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst/Clinical Informatics Analyst in a large-scale acute care digital health transformation / CIS implementation project. With direct experience building or implementing a similar scale Clinical Information System (EHR/CIS) (5+ Years)
• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst/Clinical Informatics Analyst developing clinical deliverables supporting Inpatient Medicine

Preferred Experience:
• Demonstrated experience as a Clinical Business Analyst responsible for Documentation related requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design / build activities, implementation related to Inpatient Medicine, or Inpatient Medicine experience in an acute care setting. Additional points will be provided if there is also experience in one or more of the following: computerized provider order entry (CPOE), order sets, clinical documentation, ancillary services (Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, Lab) (5+ Years)
• Verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in French and English is strongly preferred
• Facilitation skills: demonstrated experience in leading workshops with healthcare providers to identify and articulate business requirements, system requirements, and develop user stories or use cases (3+ Years)
• Demonstrated experience working with a high level of self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently engage and collaborate with project team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders at all levels (5+ Years)
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work with multiple teams supporting more than one project stream/activity at a time (5+ Years)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams) AND Atlassian’s JIRA software in a Project/work environment (5+ Years)
• Previous experience working within public health authorities, showcasing a strong understanding of the public healthcare landscape, policies, and practices
• Additional points if there is experience in the New Brunswick Healthcare system

Job Overview:
Client is seeking the services of a Clinical Business Analyst focused on Clinical Documentation to assist with initiatives related to the standardization and implementation of the CIS.
The role of the Clin Doc Analyst encompasses several activities to develop clinical standards and the implementation of the CIS for use throughout New Brunswick. The primary focus is to support the creation of standard order sets, documentation templates and other workflows used by physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other regulated health professionals providing bedside care as it relates to Documentation.
The chosen Clinical Analyst will be required to work closely with other team members, Subject Matter Experts (SME), and clinical stakeholders in the gathering of business requirements and design of new standards to be adopted province wide. This role serves as a subject matter expert on the impact that CISs and digitization of clinical processes will have on the design of content, workflows, and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
• Supporting the standardization, build, and implementation of Clinical Documentation practices and related workflows used throughout the health care system
• Acing as a subject matter expert on the impact that the CIS and digitization of clinical processes will have on the design of Clinical Documentation processes, workflows, and procedures
• Facilitating engagement sessions to document current state and engage feedback on future state processes
• Working closely with other team members, Subject Matter Experts, and clinical stakeholders in the gathering of business requirements and design of new standards to be adopted province wide
• Gathering and define business and system requirements, conduct gap analysis, complete current state and future design workflows
• Supporting seamless adoption of new Clinical Documentation standard
• Collaborating closely with project teams to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of the clinical standardization project, including effective communication plans for stakeholders
• Detailed review of existing business requirements
• Collaborate with clinical experts to gather input and insights for the development and refinement of clinical standards
• Design and develop facilitation sessions to validate the existing requirements and collect net new business and information technology requirement, including gap analysis
• Create and maintain detailed process and solution documentation, including workflows, use cases, user guides, and training materials, to ensure seamless adoption of clinical standards
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of business and client requirements to support the development, operations, and deployment of the clinical standardization project; recommend and implement solutions to achieve defined objectives, monitoring their effectiveness
• Build, validate, and test clinical content in the CIS
• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of the clinical standardization project, including effective communication plans for stakeholders
