Job Description

Only qualified Graphic Arts Design Operator candidates located in the Tarrytown, NY area will be considered due to the position being hybrid and requiring onsite presence 3 days per week.

Education:
• Bachelors in Graphic Design, Bachelors in Packaging (Design), Bachelors in Printing or equivalent experience

Required Experience and Skills:
• Minimum 3-5 years’ graphic/labeling development and print production experience required
• Must be proficient in Illustrator and InDesign
• Experience in file development and workflow for multiple ends uses, including print
• Experience with pharmaceutical, medical device or in vitro diagnostics packaging is necessary
• Experience with Plant support as it relates to documentation and spec changes that affect labeling and print changes
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), and Microsoft Office
• Ability to troubleshoot issues with both software and hardware
• Familiarity with Data Matrix codes

Preferred Experience and Skills:
• Experience with Bar Tender, Loft ware, Nice Label, Frame Maker a plus
• Experience and/or knowledge of digital asset management/digital workflow and XML a plus

Soft Skills Required:
• Must be self-starter and have ability to work independently
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities
• Must be able to handle quick turnarounds, while maintaining high quality in a fast-paced environment

Graphic Arts Design Operator Summary:
• Manages graphic projects from beginning design stages through to final production
• Project leader for graphics (labeling) related projects including project management, development of new, and modification of, current packaging graphics for Product Labeling
• Complete project management of labeling projects submitted from project assignment through component release including graphic development, artwork approvals, translations, artwork submission through the Documentum system and print supplier proof approvals
• Liaises with print production experts internally and externally, such as Engineering for in-house printing and external print suppliers
• Maintain artwork files, including digital files and artwork archives
• Manage artwork approval process including approving artwork and proof approvals consistent with established standards
• Global coordination of packaging graphics including standardization of designs (Global Branding) for worldwide use
• Compliance with FDA and international regulations, and an understanding of regulated documents and change control
• Coordinate with other functional areas to process multiple requests, schedule priorities, and implement approved changes
• Lead multiple projects and activities along with conducting and/or participating in project meetings as required
