Job Description
Required Education:
• Bachelors’ degree in a related field utilizing project management skills

Required Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:
• Familiarity with the RI behavioral health system: Knowledge of RI statewide behavioral health system, Educated about RI’s SUD Residential Substance treatment services and Recovery Support service - 6+ months
• Project and Contract Management Experience - 2+ years
• Working to ensure contract compliance (invoicing) - 2+ years

Preferred Skills/Knowledge:
• Bilingual communication preferred
• Procurement process and Master price agreement knowledge helpful

Grants Project Specialist Job Summary:
Looking for an energetic individual with contract or project management experience to monitor contracts related to treatment services. Work will require someone with knowledge of the substance use treatment landscape and familiar with active contract monitoring. The individual hired for this position is someone whose job it will be to establish a working relationship between the department and RI substance use prevention and treatment providers. Individuals in recovery welcomed as well as experience working with federal grants.

Grants Project Specialist Job Duties:
• Acting as the contact person between assigned providers or agencies and/or organizational personnel
• Keep a current contact with the list the agencies or personnel representing the person, agency or organizations to ensure program development and implementations
• Facilitating attendance to meetings and cooperation among people, agencies and organizations not currently engaged
• Identifying any problems or barriers in the project implementation and communicate possibly solutions among the various groups
• Collaborating and communicating with necessary constituents and the public
• Approving construction invoices and ensuring that contract deliverables are met
• Ensuring that federal and state reporting procedures from the assigned agency/agencies to your organization are followed
