EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in GIS, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, or related technical field required.
• One or more years of experience with Leica, PLS-CAD, Trimble Surveying Applications preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Hands on Lidar data processing experience (ideally 1+ year; 6+ months acceptable for strong candidates).
• Familiarity with photogrammetry or remote sensing workflows.
• Working knowledge of spatial data / GIS fundamentals.
• Experience with some of the key software tools:
-Global Mapper
-Pix4D
-Trimble
-Leica (hardware/software) is a major plus

IDEAL BACKGROUND
• Photogrammetry companies (e.g., Sanborn, Surdex, Bowman, etc.).
• DoD or government contractors handling remote sensing or GIS data.
• Organizations processing large-scale geospatial or Lidar datasets.

SUMMARY:
This is a new position focused on processing Lidar and reality-capture data—not field collection.

The LiDAR Sensing Analyst is responsible for gathering, organizing, classifying, and processing remotely sensed data (LiDAR/Survey Data, Digital Twin/Reality Capture Data, RGB Imagery, Video, Multi-spectral, etc.) and other GIS data for asset management using a variety of remote sensing tools, including but not limited to, Leica, Phoenix LiDAR, Global Mapper, Esri products, PiX4D, Trimble, etc..

Analyst will work to keep field equipment operational for all programs, including 3D data Capture, Drone operations and LiDAR collection operations.

Projects are project based, not area wide. Each job involves unique parameters, distances, and deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process Lidar datasets using survey information, GIS concepts, and geomatics principles.
• Assemble and prepare data for deliverables, including 3D models and LMS files.
• Learn and execute Hammer’s internal digital-twin processing workflow.
• Manage and steward large datasets across servers, hard drives, and cloud storage.
• Occasionally assist with equipment handling: preparing sensors, shipping gear, organizing inventory, and supporting field teams.
• Complete infrequent field visits strictly for training and context, not for data collection.
